WAWOO
This weekend I traveled up to Seattle to visit my sister and participate in the WAWOO party! It was a really great weekend. My sister and I got a lot of time together! (but i could hang with her 24/7..) On Friday night we went to Melting Pot. One of our usual stops when I visit. This time I missed Jennifer while there! ;-( Marilyn and I sat at the bar and looked at our NKOTB trading cards. The bartender asked us "Are you playing Pokeman" we said "no we are organizing our NKOTB cards," he then asked, "do you have a rookie Donnie" it was so funny! Only Marilyn and I (and maybe 1 million other blockheads would look at their NKOTB cards at a bar!) Saturday morning the mission started, we went to Michaels to buy things for our NKOTB centerpieces for the WAWOO party! We got some fun things, decorated our centerpieces then showered and headed down to Tacoma for the WAWOO party. On our drive down we blasted NKOTB with excitement reminiscing about a year ago when we had seen them for the first time! We walked up to the venue and we could see this man that looked like Donnie. We kinda giggled and thought is that him, then we both realized it couldn't be but it was some blockheads husband dressed up like Donnie! It was awesome. Immediately I gave and got hugs from many blockheads I have "meet" on Twitter. I felt like I had known them forever! The WAWOO party was amazing. The ladies did an incredible job organizing it. The walls were COVERED with NKOTB posters, there was NKOTB trivia, NKOTB karaoke but most importantly woman I felt totally comfortable chatting with and sharing our NKOTB journey with! The day was amazing. We raised money for the Lets Get This foundation, brought can food, and meet many amazing woman.. that I will continue this journey with! Marilyn and I had a blast!!!
On Sunday we got up early and meet Stephanie for coffee, it is always fun to see her and chat! I am so happy she has a new job! We went to downtown Seattle and shopped, we meet Amy for lunch at serious Pie.. which by the way might be the best pizza I have EVER had. It was great to meet Amy. One of my sisters coworkers in which has taken part in the mini adventures! She is really fun to talk to! It was really a perfect weekend! (well it would have been perfect if I saw Travis, but I guess I have to go back to visit... ;-) )
Seattle is an amazing city and I love everything about it!
