Tonight I made two cards!  My dad and my brother in law, Travis share the same birthday and this weekend we are having a birthday party for them at my parents house! It will be nice to spend some down time at home and I can't wait to give my dad a big giant hug!  I am really looking forward to some family time! ;-) Last year we were in Seattle celebrating Travis' 30th birthday and I am so blessed that we will all be together again celebrating another wonderful year! ;-) 

Card Making Night

Since I love making cards, and I love hanging out with girlfriends, I am going to start doing a card making night! ;-) The first Tuesday of every month I will have some ladies over and we will make three cards.  This is maybe going to be one of the cards we will make on September 1st! ;-) Never to early to start celebrating Halloween! ;-) 

Dallas

Today my dad had to put our family dog Dallas to sleep ;-( Dallas had a stroke on Thursday and my dad took him to the vet today because he wasn't eating and they had said "his stomach had turned, and surgery won't help because he is so old" So my dad made that really hard decision to have him be put asleep.  I called my dad around 4 today to just talk and when he answered the phone I knew something was wrong, then he burst into tears and said "dallas is gone" He couldn't talk and I just wanted to hug my dad!  As I write this tears are streaming down my face. It makes me so sad to think that my dad's best little buddy Dallas is no longer here!  It will be very different coming home and not seeing Dallas. ;-(  About a year ago my dad had had knee surgery which caused him to limp a little, well one day I drove home and my dad and Dallas were walking home from the mailboxes and I could see both of them in the distance limping their way home. They were so cute together!  Where ever dad was there was Dallas right behind him.  I believe that dogs are truly man's best friend!

New at Blog

I am very new at this, but I am going to attempt to make a blog!  Please be patient with me as I learn how to do this! ;-) My sister inspired me to have my own blog page! I was a little hesitant at first but this will be a page where I can share pictures and stories with those who care to view it!
